Meet Dr. Slater
Dr. David Slater has been a practicing dentist in the Arlington area since 1983. He is bringing new ideas to the world of cosmetic dentistry by providing the latest in equipment and procedures. He uses cutting edge technologies in tooth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental implants, and basically all phases of restorative dentistry.
He is one of the leading Invisalign doctor’s in the metroplex. Dr.
Slater believes, “the relationship with our patients is much more important then just treating their teeth, we want our patients for a lifetime.”
Dr. Slater received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1983. His emphasis being in cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. He was the first doctor from Texas who achieved mentorship status from the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. This is one of the most prestigious dental learning centers in the world. In 2004, he achieved his Clinical Instructors status which allows him to teach dentists worldwide. He has also attended postgraduate training in Destin, FL at Dr. Pete Dawson’s Center for Advanced Dental Studies and LSU Dental School in New Orleans for advanced cosmetic continuums along with many others. Dr. Slater is an annual participant in the Crown Council’s “Smiles for Life” program.
About the Kois Center
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the children’s charity organization of the Crown Council. Each year over a four-month period, Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer teeth whitening at less than their normal fee and donate 100% of the cost to children’s charities across the United States and Canada. Since 1998, he has helped raised over $30 million in funds to help support over 500 different children’s charities around the world.
Dr. Slater is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Fort Worth District Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society, the Texas Academy of Dental Lasers, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In his spare time, Dr. Slater is a supporter of the Arlington Theater, River Legacy Science Center, and the Mejia Ballet where his daughter is a company ballet dancer. He and his daughter, Raina reside in North Arlington. He is an active member with Hurst First Methodist Church.
